A Technocracy is a society ruled by the technically skilled and the technical elite (business/Government), not to be confused with Technocracy inc. Never in the history of this planet has a ruling class been held up as a reasonable model of governance.

The lack of controls, structure and security are causing us to drift more towards this form of internet control/governance. The lack of leadership and a vision has put the internet and its users at a cross roads. As we speak there are many groups at work trying to figure out ways to carve the net up for domination and control. These Groups are called the Gate Keepers. They have no idea where or what the net will evolve into or how to get there, they just want to control it.

The technocrats (crats) will always be with us just under the surface lying in wait for an opportunity to seize power and control. Their job will be to convince you that you need protection from the big bad net.  Their only solution is to create road blocks no matter what the cost or how short sited it may seem. These solutions do more harm then good. They really only benefit the crats because they have increased there power and control. For example, most of us have been brainwashed into believing that so called spam is evil, bad and some times it is said to be ruining the internet. Give me a break. Spam if that is what you want to call it, is everywhere. You have spam on your radio, in your mailbox, telephone, TV, billboards, front yards, backyard, store fronts, magazines, news papers, etc... It is every where. In fact, if it where not for so called spam a.k.a. unsolicited advertising, the world would come to a halt. There would be no way to get the word out about products or ideas. For some reason spam is only bad when it arrives in your email box. I wonder why? Oh, and how we fallen for the old it's clogging up internet which is the favorit compliant of many  internet service providers. If your are in business, that is called the cost of doing business. Maybe they are just in the wrong business. Convincing the masses to through out the baby with the bath water is a no no. For those individuals that can’t be bothered with all these extraneous emails, shame on you. Advertising is the life blood capitalism. We can put a man on the moon but we can’t solve a little email problem. Not so, there just isn’t a way to make huge sums of money from it. Oh and by the way, so called spam was one of the greatest equalizers in favor of the common man. For one small moment in history the common man no matter how small he might be, for just one moment he was equal if not greater than goliath. The common man could reach just as many people with his thoughts and ideas as the goliaths of the world without the large sums of cash that is usually required by conventional methods. So you see, once again we have sold our selves down the drain, and for what,? For nothing, thats what. The problem has only gotten worser and we are once again without a voice.

Back to the topic at hand. Any power that can be carved out in this medium is huge. The internet is the most powerful medium of all time. Power and control equals’ money. This means you lose. Power and control doesn’t care about you.

There is good news though. The technocrats will not be able achieve their goals with out your help. That’s right; they will have to use you against yourself. It is already begun. The email example above is just one of many blows.

If you think life on this planet is pathetic now, just let the gate keepers/crats gain control of the net. Big brother will become a stinging reality. If you feel like you don’t mater and that you have no control of your destiny now, the net based on a technocracy will be a living hell. The net is really the only way that the masses can gain control of their destiny. It is the only technology/medium powerful enough to take on such a complex and multifaceted task.

The things that we could and should be doing with computers and technology are so fantastic and wonderful that it is one of the biggest tragedies of our time that we have not found a way to put them into action. If computers where used correctly, there would probably only be a need for a three day work week. Computers would work for all not just the crats. As it is now, the technocracy keeps things bottled up so that technology only works for them. There has to be a better way.  Only a major paradigm shift can fix this problem. You ever wonder why cell phones to don’t work together. Why do I need to by a different cell if a want to switch to a different service? It is not in the cell companies’ best interest to work together. A major paradigm shift would change all this. There are major enhancements and productivity changes that could have been made to cell phones 10 years ago. It won’t happen. The masses have to become more technology aware. We are kept so busy just trying to survive. We have to break the cycle. We can not afford the net to go by the way of the cell phone and many other crucial technologies and industries. We can’t afford to get this wrong and for very simple reasons. Many of us may not know it yet, so again I must state that the net (the internet) is the most powerful medium of all time. Who ever controls it controls you.
