How can we possibly justify such Fantastic
claims and expectations such as:
"The first, one and only
Super Technology in the World"? or
"The most
important technology on the planet"? or
"The
most important project on this planet"?
or
"The
most important book on the planet"?
or
"The
most powerful medium of all time"?
Piece of cake...
The internet is the most important and powerful medium of all time. It has the
ability to run, connect and control every other medium and technology (TV,
Radio, Telephone, Computers, Television, Electricity, Print, etc...)
simultaneously and all this at the speed of light. It connects 2 billion soon
to be many billion people and even more devices, governments, societies,
businesses, homes etc, etc, etc. It is without a doubt the most powerful force to
be reckoned with On This Planet.
Never in the history of this world has the conditions ever existed for a super
technology to exist. The rise of the internet was the final and most important
ingredient to make this possible. There have always been major and minor
technologies. Never has there been a technology that could literally touch and
control every facet of our lives. Never has there
been a technology that could give us the ability to re-invent our whole world
and the way we relate to one another. A technology that has the ability to
harness the power of the internet (The Super Medium) is nothing less than "A
Super Technology". Its capabilities
and scope go far beyond any major technology or invention (electricity, the
telephone, the web, automobiles, airplanes, robotics, nano technology etc...). In
fact, it will control and coordinate almost all major and minor technologies.
Let me give you a tiny demonstration of the internets awesome power.
In the mid to late 90’s the internet enhanced by the World Wide Web
produced the largest economic expansion
Of All Time. The amount of wealth generated by the internet in
this period is unprecedented. It was responsible for erasing the largest
national debt in U.S. history at that time and created a 130 billion dollar
surplus in its place. At its high in 1999, the Internet created 13
billionaires.1 Simply Unprecedented.
Never before has one medium or all mediums combined been able to generate
economic growth and wealth on this scale or at such a pace. That is definitely a
milestone to mark that something has drastically changed.
As powerful as this demonstration was,
it doesn't even scratch the surface of
what the internet is capable of. What if we could find a way to sustain and
multiply this type of economic growth and activity by harnessing the internets
true potential? The web was not able to
do that and for a good reason. Just what could make this a reality?
Anything that would allow us to tap in on such an awesome force, definitely has
to be "the most important technology
On The Planet". Once you fix this problem, in terms of the human
race, we will no longer be many, we will become one. The term two heads are
better than one, means nothing when to the term 6 billion heads are better than
one is more applicable.
Just to show we are not the only mad scientists that regard the solution to this
problem as a very big deal, here are a couple of quotes by Guru Parulkar from
the National Science Foundation (a government think tank), “If
we succeed in what we are trying to do, this is bigger than anything we, as a
research community, have done in computer science so far." “It
is a very big deal.” “It has the
potential to change the game.”
2 The difference between the National Science
Foundation and OsiXs is that we have the Technology and the NeXus while they are
still groping in the dark. Having an actual technology in hand gives us a
tremendous view into the future. If the National Science Foundation had any
inkling of the impending paradigm shift that will take place, you better believe
their tone would be just as enthusiastic and euphoric as ours.
"The Problem"
How do you release such a force in order to harness its
potential?
The answer is in a paradigm shift. (P3 = Ph4O6)
Welcome to the first phase…
